Catango’s New Moon (known as Cat in the stable) is a beautiful type and a great athlete. Her sire line descends from the great Cor De La Bryere, (in fact features a double cross) and also includes blood from influential names such as Consul, Matador, Capitano and Alme Z. Her dam line features the influential sires Wunder, and Voltaire and super mare Poesi - proven producers of high quality dressage and showjump horses.
It is obvious that this amazing breeding is showing through in Cat. On the flat, she has good shoulder-in, half-pass and mediums, with flying changes and canter pirouettes in the embryonic stages. At limited outings to dressage shows, she has excelled - with consistently high scores up to 76%! Over fences she has a classical bascule and great technique. She has attended a few local showjump days, where she consistently jumps clear rounds. In one 90cm class, she placed 5th against 50 other horses! Cat has begun schooling cross-country ditches, apexes, arrowheads and water jumps and is looking for a dedicated partner to take her to great heights. A serious horse for a serious rider.
